Only one of my atomic clocks has changed its time so far. It sometimes takes a couple of days for them to catch up.
Of the four atomic clocks I have only one didn't change. So I moved it closer to a window last night and that did the trick. They're all reset now.

That stupid law was passed during WW11 so factory workers wouldn't have to work with so much (expensive) incandescent lighting. The need passed usefulness at least 70 years ago. It just shows the inertia of politicians in repealing bills.

To me that which makes DST odd is that my home is close to 90 degrees longitude is that high ‘noon’ is 1:00 PM. Others at the edges of their time zone will note more deviation.

I have a Citizen watch that uses time signals to maintain the correct time. But it won't change for daylight saving time. For this the company emails a video showing which combinations of buttons to push and pull to change the time. It's a 15 minute process.

I have three Citizen ECO watches that are radio controlled, they all reset correctly with the time change. There is a switch in you watch that tells it to look for the bit in the sync code that will set your watch correctly, it must be set to on and left that way unless you move to Ariz where they don't do DST. This is true of all radio controlled time pieces.

I live in one of the states that don't do DST. Works for me.

Why don't we all (the world) just adjust our clocks one half hour whichever way would be the next change by one half hour and then leave everything there. Never have to change again. Certainly would relieve a lot of confusion and tardiness or earlyness. I understand there are a few lands where they do not change the time and they are off by 15, 30, or 45 minutes from the rest of the world in some season or another.

Why don't we all just go by Greenwich Mean Time? The only thing we would need to change would be what time we, let's say, start work. In my case, instead of starting at 0600 Phoenix Time, I'd start at 1300GMT. In that scenario, if I were to tell you to call me at 1000GMT, you would have no issue trying to decide what time you'd need to call. Regardless of where you are, we're on the same clock.

You really want me to call you at 3:00 AM?

Well, if we were on a clock such as I described in my post, sure. 0300 GMT would be evening where I am.

Two states, Hawaii and Arizona, do not change their clocks.

But you told me to call you at 1000 GMT - not 0300 GMT - and that would be very early in the morning!

DST -- Don't have it here in Hawaii and it sure is nice. Only problem is trying to figure out the time difference between here and the mainland.

My atomic clock hasn't caught up yet either. I'll wait and see if it does or if I need to change it.
