I did a search on this subject and most of the threads are 2017 or older. I have a stitched 20x40" landscape that I think will translate very well to high gloss metal. Aluminyze offers this size and finish as one of their standards (Costco does not). It's a bit pricey but given where I'm going to place it (over the fireplace in the living room) I'm okay with a $225+ tab. The reviews from 4 or 5 years ago were overall positive about the quality from Aluminyze, but things change. Does anyone have recent experience with them or is there another vendor I should check out before placing the order?
We had very good luck with Shutterfly. We put it out there in the shopping cart and wait for a special. They can be ordered ready to hang and they are! We've also done several travel books up to seventy pages through them.

I have used Aluminyze for about 5 years, probably 25-30 prints of various sizes. I have never had a problem with their quality. One had a small scratch on it and they replaced it. They will even do custom sizes for a fee.
I recommend them...

HD Aluminum in Vancouver, WA also produces a great product. I have four images hanging in my house presently and they produce ready to hang products in various finishes and frames. Also (at an additional charge of $10) they send a 5 x 7 for final approval prior to producing the finished product so you have a chance to see the finish selected prior to producing/sending the final product.
Give fullcolor.com a look. I have used them here in Dallas for my metal prints and quality and service is super.

EZ Prints has done some very good metal prints for me.

Another vote for Bay. If you calibrate your monitor and have a calibrated workflow (including soft proofing), you can generally save a substantial amount by omitting their color correction service

I'm not sure they offer that for metal though. Definitely for paper prints.

I've used Adorama Photo for several aluminum based prints. They were good quality, reasonably priced and look great.
I , personal opinion, never hang a full gloss metal print over a fireplace without first thinking about how to rearrange the lighting in the room. Reflection on this print will be horrible.

Aluminyze has been my go to for aluminun prints. I usually order the 12 by 12 with the hanging hardware installed. It can be pricey but if you wait for a coupon, that can save quite a bit. My concern is that a couple have been a little dark but that may be a combination of my monitor needing calibrationand and my old eyes. I have addressed this with them and it is no longer an issue.
