My spouse and my LP record collection.
Two items from my Navy daze:
American Optical Skymasters, 1969, from the Navy Exchange, Quonset Point, RI. Cost - $6. Estimated 150K air miles on them.
RayBan Caravans, 1973, from the flight stores NAS Norfolk. Cost - $7. 9 years of cruises and training.
The AO Skymasters I've worn steadily since 1970. I had prescription lenses installed several times, and finally put the original lenses back in after cataract surgery in 2013. In 2017, I sent the sunglasses back to AO, asking them if they could refurbish them. Not only did they restore them to new condition, the technicians also sent me a brand new pair free, just for getting to work on an original pair that wasn't totalled.
Located the Caravans in a box of service related records I have stored at home. Like finding an old friend.

Compact Discs CD'S weren't introduced until the early 1980'S.
I can't say I have anything I cherish from the 1970'S other than a few memories but here's a few things; highschool diploma and class ring, record albums, Dual 1219 turntable that still works, my wallet which I bought in Hatteras NC, my .444 Marlin, although designed in the mid 1960'S, my Marlin was made in the 1970'S and I acquired it in the late 1970'S.
I'm with tvbob. I tell folks my wife has put up with me for 45 (almost 46) years. Also have my boot camp issue seabag from when I joined the Navy in 1966.

Not sure a less than $100 car from the 70’s would be all that great!🤔
I don't know.....My dad sold a 1956 Buick for $100.00 in the early seventies. It was still in awesome shape, just needed some relatively minor repairs. I wish I had that car now.

Correction: 49 years ago today, I had a Joe Biden moment and my math got confused.
He's your out... It's leap *year* and you took 'em at their word.
Tvbob has it right, my spouse. January 3rd, 1970, 50 years this year.
A Randall hunting knife. As I recall I paid $65.00 and it is now worth several hundred.

My original Domke F2 camera bag! I still use it today.
My first good baseball glove. That was the first nice thing I ever saved up for with money I earned.
My wife of 42 years. She's the love of my life.
