Nothing broken about it. These are great pictures

crafter, I appreciate your comments. I so enjoy the adventure of finding good avian subjects and trying to capture them photographically. I'm lucky to have a bunch of good friends who love birding and who help me find and picture them. jak

You have a great eye and these are gorgeous animals. Love them all.

Thanks very much, Blair. Those are very kind words. I just don't want to bore people. I guess those who don't enjoy pictures of birds can just ignore them, and that's fine. Your time in viewing and commenting is very much appreciated. jak

All nice photo's and looks like you had nice weather, if you don't mind me asking, what State or Country were these photo's taken in?

Ched49, yes, you are correct. I live in Southern California. All of these photos were taken in Los Angeles or Orange County, where the weather has been quite warm this week. I was out today and had to take off my down vest and roll up my long sleeved T-shirt sleeves. It was probably around 82 degrees F and somewhat humid. Unfortunately, the birds sometimes take shelter when it gets this warm. Luckily, enough have been around for some enjoyable bird walks. Thanks for your kind words. jak

When you do something well and share your results it should not feel like a rut. I value your posts for the variety and realistic processing of your subjects. We are in the same state, on the same flyway and yet, you have shown me species I don't see....just 500+ miles to the north. You do exemplary work jak, please keep posting.
Phil

Phil, thanks very much for the kind and supportive words. I only speak of a "rut" for those who get tired of seeing avian subjects. I don't get tired of looking for or photographing them. Until a lot of UHHers start responding that they're tired of all the bird pics, I'll keep posting them. Until I get tired of taking them, I'll keep shooting. My titles, like "Broken Record..." are just to attract a bit of attention to the posting. jak

Really a very nice set, jak. A lot of variety and some pulled off in dark places.

Thank you John. Those are very kind words. Luckily, almost all of the photos were taken around mid-day, so even though the subjects were in shade, there was quite a bit of ambient light. When possible, I'd wait until the moved to where the lighting was better before shooting. Much appreciated. jak

Jak,

Wren is my fav. Red Wing black bird is right up there, and i like the hawk as well. Indeed, don't stray too far from your rut.
