Not very important, but FYI, I think that's a Striped Swamp Snake, Liodytes alleni. It has a slightly heavier body than Yellow Rat Snakes, and yellow-brown belly and inter-stripe stripe where Rats are white below, especially under the head, and less brownish between the stripes.
