I have created a 650 slide show on my recently purchased ProShow Gold software (now that they are out of business) and I am able to drag...cut/paste some of my mp4 videos from my cell phone edited in Adobe Premier into the program, and some will not take...its gives me an error message saying I might "need 2nd drivers or codec's" to install. Just love the vastness of this software, but confused why it will sometimes take my added MP4 video, and not others. Help! I use windows 10 on a laptop. I posted this issue before, but must have made a mistake as I received no responses..oops!
Wayne,
You have a narrow window of people here who use ProGold Software and mp4s imported from cell phone.
Consider plan B.

Stan
what would be plan B. Adobe Premier has a slide option, but only up to 250 images...I have 650 plus some mp4 videos. What software would you suggest?

Yes, you asked the same question yesterday and you did get some answers, including one from Bill Burkholder who may be the most qualified person to help you.

Is it Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements. I'm pretty good with Premiere Elements and might be able to help.

There is no limit on the number of still images you can import into Premiere Pro.
I've used Premiere Elements for years through several versions. I've "tested" it with about a hundred RAWs and it didn't balk. I'm not aware of a limit.
Premiere Elements keeps a current version of ACR hidden somewhere that you can't see it. If you elect to save Lightroom edits in .XMP "sidecar" files, Premiere Elements will read the edits when you import the RAWs for a slideshow.
If some mp4's take and some don't, maybe it is the resolution of the mp4's?
Thanks Mike..you are most correct, at age 82_I am a slow learner, even though I've been a photographer since I was 16. A million thanks for the kind responders that suggested editing video on adobe premier 2020, then running it through Hand Break and it inserted into pro show gold... worked perfectly. My apologies for offending you.
Think I got a fix after using hand brake before dragging it into pro show gold..many thanks!
How about Adobe premiere elements 2020, it gave me a limit at 250 I believe.

No worries. I haven't been offended in years.
Glad it worked out.

Yes indeed, did run them they hand brake and it resolved the issue..that Adobe premiere 2020 could not handle apparently. Thank you.
