i would like to buy this guide but price shown on various sites is out of mind as follows :
Books a million $ 125
Amazon $ 187 used $ 352 new
Amazon Italia euro 450 = $505
i think that could be a mistake , i bought years ago by same author a guide to D700 a D750 and prices are more different.
Someone is available to put on sale above D4 Guide a decent price also used or suggest some other book always for D4 camera
thanks for reading
Gianfranco
thanks so much but i already have the manual of the camera , what i wish is one guide to suggest how to select and choose all specs of the camera based on experience of some professional shooter or detailing better all functions of the camera .
Sorry to say think Busch's book is only other guide besides manual for the D4 and those are the prices across the Internet. Kind of like "if you can afford a $6,000 camera body (original cost) you can afford a $300 book" thought process.
I paid the D4 camera used for $ 1400 two weeks ago
Did Busch price his book that high or people just charge high price because the book is out of print?
Try your library. I checked mine. They have one, in network, which means they can get it from another library nearby.

Check his web site. Just Google his name. He was making out of print books available in electronic form for like $30.
I just looked at his book and couldn't find any coverage of Group Auto Focus, one of the most important new features of the D4. I didn't check the index yet.

Those prices are ridiculous! Apparently the guide books for the D4 are rare and there's some price gouging going on!
David (not Robert) Busch's guide books for other Nikon DSLRs are selling for around $25 to $35, brand new.
I'd suggest you look elsewhere...
Google found:
Barnes & Noble: $30
https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/david-buschs-nikon-d4-guide-to-digital-slr-photography-david-d-busch/1124342275Roberts Camera: $27 (used)
https://robertscamera.com/david-busch-s-nikon-d4-guide-to-digital-slr-photography
first source book is not available pls go to market place $123
second source book is not available
thanks again
Gianfranco
I bought Robert bush for my Nikon 810 but more than the resets this camera I didn’tuse it. When I did something wrong I had to google it because I couldn’t fund it in the book. Just saying.....

...yes! There are quite a few people on this board familiar with the D4 (I bought mine new, skipped the 4s, then went for the D5...but I LOVED that D4 to death and almost wish I'd kept it!) Why not just shoot as you would normally with it, check the sports-shooting boards for focus tips and low light settings preferences, and just learn it by using it? Ask a question on this board and you'll get an answer or three! I'm a sports shooter of sorts (semi-pro I suppose as I do make money at that gig) and when i was learning usually a google search would solve any given problem. There weren't that many with that camera, doncha know. No substitute for experience...just do it.
