Do not know them where are they located. I live in De. Are they fair $ on there trade in pricing. As well as new purchase prices. Currently use Auorama. Now shooting with Canon SL2 with 16 to 300 Tamron zoom Need wide angle for community newsletter and zoom for travel considering small lighter Canon with wide and long zoom. Suggestions please

I usually buy only new stuff, but thought I would give KEH a try because of their reputation here on UHH. I am more than happy with the lens I bought from them.

Great dealer! I have two lenses, a body, a tripod head, and some filters that came from KEH. NO issues. I’ll buy from them again.

KEH is just outside the perimeter, north Atlanta. I have bought and sold with them. I sold a Nikon D60 at a local camera shop for a lot more than KEH offered, but also sold Olympus film cameras/lenses to KEH when they were on a buying trip near me (south Georgia). If you can get to their building, they will show you what you are interested in, but there is no actual showroom (they used to have one in midtown Atlanta). That is, they will bring to the front specific items you are interested in. I was debating between Oly 5 and 10 and so was able to check out both. They are super about any problems. I bought the Oly 5 but they packed the 10's battery. I was back home in Savannah before I realized the switch. They sent the correct battery and charger and did not want the incorrect one returned. I think I returned it anyway. My Oly 5II looks and functions like brand new.

I purchased a nikon 24-70 2.8e from them and is excellent. I did look at the difference between what I paid and what KEH would give for the same lens. Surprisingly large margin. Additionally, their price for a nikon 70-200 2.8e is so close to Nikon's, I'd rather pay the difference and acquire the much, much longer warranty.

Great to hear about a resolution!! When folks hear about bounced checks from an outfit that’s been around a while everybody gets a bit nervous!

I agree with the fact that KEH is excellent to work with and they ship immediately. They are located outside of Atlanta and I receive orders in rural Ohio in 2 days every time. They also process returns promptly. Rita

I have bought two cameras and over a half dozen lenses from them and never had a bad taste left in my mouth doing business with KEH.

Not happy with your purchase? Give them a call and get a return shipping label no questions asked.

Don't like their offer to buy what your selling? Think they are asking too much for what they are selling? Shop around. It's yer money.

I've purchased used gear from them that came with a warranty. Last summer I got the lens I've wanted for years Nikon 24-71 2.8 It's like new and I only paid a little over $800.00 for it because of their discout that I got that very morning

Only have experience with them from buying a used Canon 300mm f4 prime. Lens was as described - no complaints or issues. I would use them again if I had the need.

KEH ranks with the best.

Consider Canon 10-22 or 10-18. Both decent IQ.

You didn't mention what part of Delaware. If you are looking to buy new camera bodies and lenses, the Best Buy in north Delaware on Concord Pike, US 202, about a mile south of the PA state line, has and excellent selection of Canon, Nikon and Sony DSLR'S and MILC'S and bridge cameras and point and shoots. Since the price for new cameras is set by the manufacturer, their prices are the same as everyone else.

Also check out one of the best camera shops in the area, Camera’s Etc in Newark De, located on Main Street.
Check them out, hold the different cameras to see what you think feels best in your hand. Like another poster stated the camera manufacturers set the prices, so buying from a dealer is no more expensive.

In DE you would have the advantage of no sales tax on all of your purchases. Try the Best Buy in DE.

I think you make a great argument for buying from local stores instead of the big box retailers. If the prices are the same regardless of the seller wouldn't it be a good idea to deal with a store that has the expertise and desire to know their customers and build a loyal following?

Yes, if there is a local store in a sales tax free state. But, if there is not then a good alternative is just that. I'm not talking about all Best Buy stores. There are three Best Buy stores closer to my home in southeastern Pennsylvania than the one I am referring to in North Delaware. What sets that store apart from many other best buy stores is the available selection of DSLR, MILC, bridge and point and shoot cameras and lenses. If a buyer knows what they want and aren't interested in doing the dance with a camera store sales person, the Talleyville Delaware Best Buy is a great place to shop. You simply go in, tell the sales clerk what you want, pay for it, no state sales tax, and leave with your purchase. No pressure, no fuss, no hassle, no upselling, no 'you need this or that accessory'. I still purchase smaller ticket items from my local camera stores. I was even going to purchase a Canon 90D from the local Canon dealer in Lancaster County PA last week when I was up at my weekend home. Too bad they didn't have one in stock. A few days later when I was back home in Chester County PA, I drove down to the Talleyville Delaware Best Buy. They had several in stock. I took one home with me.
