Beautiful. We were just back there in August, but the weather did not cooperate. Thanks for sharing these shots from “home.”

As many times as I have photographed my beloved lighthouse, I had never before witnessed the wind and waves, as I saw this past Friday night. I took photos, videos, clicking away for about an hour. Then, as the sunset, I ran out of disk space. I had no other cards with me, and I was using a new to me, Z6. I got in my car and furiously deleted shots I figured were not worth keeping, then shot a few more.

It never ceases to amaze me how they built the lighthouse? Low tide??

Thank you to all who have commented, so many kind words, some helpful suggestions/insight and more. Yes, I was not prepared that day with more memory. It was a new camera and while I had a backup plan with my other DSLR with dual card slots, this one doesn't have that. I have solved that issue now. to Bunko who asks if they built that lighthouse during low tide, our Great Lakes do not have tides (there is a change with the moon, but it is so small, it is not discernable) but the lighthouse is at the end of a cement pier.

Just LOVE your series!! Any time there is a lighthouse in a photo, I'm "Over the Moon" & yours are spectacular. I'm originally from Bay City, MI but didn't get interested in lighthouses until several years after I moved to Florida. Michigan is a great state to capture lighthouse since they have the most of any state & have lots of different styles. You've made me home sick!!

Thank you, so kind of you. If you are missing Michigan and want to see more, I have a public FB page under SueFi_Photography. I live up in NW Michigan, sort of near Traverse City, so that is the area where most of my photos are taken.
