Photobum, I live about one mile from this picture and this is one of the best shots of the area I have seen. I am going to save a copy to my local folder. Thanks again for the photo as I cross it almost on a daily basis.

I think Olympia beer left the area - they must have run out of those "tiny little artesians."

Lived here all my life. The Deschutes river is famous for the steelhead fish in Oregon.

My dad lived somewhere around Walla Walla for a few years in his teens. I remember him mentioning the Deschutes River but don't remember the details now. I'm not sure how far it is from where he lived.

The distance from Walla walla is very close to 300 miles. The Deschutes is near Olympia at the south tip of Puget Sound, while Walla walla is in the very southeast corner of Washington.

I wish I could remember what he said. Obviously not somewhere he went on the way home from school or anything. Oh well, it will eventually come to me or it won't.

The water flows instead of just being blurred into Cotton Candy. A very nicely exposed and composed image. The contrast of one of man's most magnificent creations, a bridge, with the natural world it crosses is always a classic story all by itself. In Oregon OR Washington. Here's an OLY to you!

Good shot. If it had been in b and w I simply would have closed the page without looking at it.

Beautiful shot. I live about six miles from there, and have many shots of that area. The whole park is just one great photo shot, but I sure can't recommend the restaurant overlooking the falls. Food is below average, and price is WAY over!

Thanks for the restaurant tip! I almost chose to have breakfast there, but they don't open till eleven. Next time I'll find a greasy spoon mom & pop cafe.

Olympia beer or Oly. Remember the dots on back of the label? I have been a lifelong "R" drinker. Back in the day a case of Oly was $4.32 the same as a pair of Levis jeans.
