Recently read claims that Denoise AI is not as good as Denoise version 6. Any comments from fellows who have experiences in both?

I use DeNoise 6, not the newer software. If you don't own v6 already, you can't buy the product any longer, so it wouldn't make for much of a discussion / comparison.

I tried the trial version of AI. Actually I like 6 better. Just seems to be easier to use and does the job that I need.

I'd like to see a comparison of the end results.

Both are great noise reduction programs but Denoise 6 is much easier to use.

I find Denoise AI easy to use too (with sharpen function). But it is the result that counts. AI is supposed to be better? But somebody claimed otherwise.

I use Denoise 6, which I feel to be quite good, and better than AI for most occasions. In my trial of AI, however, I found some instances in which it did a better job. It did seem to me that AI was simpler to use, though. I have come to the strong belief that what is "better" in all aspects of post processing depends partially upon the software, but also very much on the particular file being processed - there is no one-size-fits-all!!!

I forgot to mention - using Denoise AI, the AI Clear option gave the better results!

I have both, because if you preowned deNoise, the Ai deNoise is free. I have not compared them and a quick Google did not give me a comparison... tho it may exist.

I found that DeNoise is better and easier to work with than DeNoise 6. Two different modules plus manual or auto modes.

For me, Denoise AI is the clear winner over Denoise 6. Denoise AI is "Magic"!!! It's the very 1st step in my Photoshop CC workflow, and cleans the palate for what ever CC enhancements I may deem necessary ( if at all!)

I believe the Topaz Legacy Products, including DeNoise 6, are still available for download, and at no cost. Check out: https://help.topazlabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001521092-Legacy-Products
