#5 seems to be the favorite and this was just a fun experiment to test out Luminar 4.

They all have a white artifact around the bird's head.
Here's one done in Affinity photo with no artifact except a tiny bit on the wing but that might be sun diffusion.

I think you can really see the sky replacement around the eagle in this one. Especially in the download you can see the white zagged edge. I have affinity and mine seem to always look like this as well....that's why I am testing out Luminar to see if I can do better.

I have Photoshop but my laptop isn't powerful enough to run it .....so until I can afford a better laptop, I am looking into alternatives. I am interested in what others have to say on this question as well.

I would darken the original sky just a bit and keep that one.

Thanks Kpmac....I will try to do that ...every time I try and darken just one part...it ends up looking worse....lol....still in the learning phase but that's how you learn!

Number one reminded me a Stevie Ray Vaughn video "Couldn't Stand the Weather",
so that is my pick.

Playing with Luminar 4 Sky Replacement with some of their stock pics and some of my sky pics. The first shot of this eagle is the original, I was underneath the tree branch and got the shot looking straight up at it right before it took off.

Which one's do you like best or which one's look like it wasn't replaced?

Thanks A LOT Cindy!! Now you got me playin with yet another editing program. Here's an eagle shot that I edited in Luminar 4...trying to find the original but so far I really like the editing features of the program.(I hate the dirty beak, there's a huge lake 100 yards away)

I completely agree with NMGal. The original without the sky really has him stand out!!

Don't understand why you would favor a bald sky over any of the others. Eagles and blue sky go together. No. 2 is just right.

The original sky is too bald. Eagles and blue sky go together. I like No. 2. Great shot, by the way.
