It is hard to catch the full moon with any success as it is so bright ... REGIS shoots the moon phase when it’s 1/3-1/2 full for best crater shadow and definition and recommends same ... with his equip his moon shots always looks great ..

I strive to capture the full moon and am getting close .., here attached has been my best so far ...

Download is a must .., thnx...

Thnx ..., I’m still trying / To get the perfect moon shot .., . say I see you live in one of my favorite places ...Davis .., All my brother dog are treated at The UC Davis .., what a cool bike town ..and one of my favorite restaurants Da Buckhorn Bar and Grill on Railroad ave .., . . Is right there ..

I shot this, handheld, with my new Z50. I was experimenting with both its focusing and exposure control. I used the "viewfinder" to adjustbexposure in manual mode. This image is "right out of the camera," except for cropping! If you don't look at the download you will see a blurred image.

Toxdoc42 ...hand held ... only cropping .., wow .. next tripod ..electronic release.., a sharpening program and you’ll be front page news .., a Z50 u say ...

Buckhorn is in Winters, Dr N.

Yes, download is a must. Excellent. I thot my moon images were okay but they don't begin to compare with yours and I used a Nikon D750 with a Tamron 150-600, heavy tripod and cable release with mirror up. You must be using really good glass.
