WD-40, new battery, can of carb cleaner, ready to go! Love shots like this. In Alaska, actually a train engine in the wilderness like this!

Wow!!! I know a couple of folks that could have that back and working. The tractors they've restored are incredible.

I remember a tractor just like that one and my dad cursing at it when he tried to start it with that old hand crank lever. It was fun to drive in the pastures and we played on it as kids.

No battery needed...that crank in front is the starter. Lights were moonlight.

Funny enough... I'll bet a lot of old farmers could get that thing running w a little work.
A lot of pretty old tractors around here also but not quite as old as that one.
Any idea what year it is?

When my family moved onto the farm back in the late '40s, we had one of those and a team of horses. Blair is right, that darned thing was a real pain in the *** to start. Dad finally learned how to get it running but until he did the horses got a real work out! Take care & ...

By 1948 all of these old steel wheel models were converted to rubber tires when you could get them after WW-II rationing. I would guess this old tractor has been retired for many years just waiting to settle ever deeper into the earth. Begging for a little TLC.

The time spent on one of these can be like a meditation session.
