The hinges look modern. the hole doesn't look authentic and the whole area needs a coat of milk paint. I think if you want to put up this picture in your bathroom, I say go for it. There was a woman, Evelyn Sayre, who worked mostly in the area of northern Missouri and southern Iowa painting images of outdoor privies. I have a small watercolor of hers hanging in the smallest room in my house.
