The Oleander plant's beauty is only skin deep. Beautiful as it's flowers are the plant is very toxic.

Burning Oleander also produces toxins that causes breathing difficulties in all living creatures. It's planted all around Houston & Galveston even has an Oleander Festival. Most people don't have a clue how toxic it is.

It has nice straight branches that work great for roasting marshmallows.... for someone you really don't like!
They are often used for hedges here in Central Florida - they are fairly pretty and grow rapidly. Not generally a problem, but never a bad idea to wear gloves when handling plants in Florida.Feb 14, 2020 10:10:29 #
