Jackson Dane, champion Kayaker goes over 134 ft waterfall.
And in which paper will we find the obituary?
From the comments, I understand the reactions range from Crazy to Wow.
Glad it was worth a "look".

Thanks for posting this. I had the opportunity to paddle with Dane when he was 12, it was a fairly large group with his father and sister there too (all world championship paddlers). We approached a very, very dangerous, death defying drop over a low head dam. I pulled in ahead of Dane in order to help him with the portage around it. To my surprise he did an upriver turn and skimmed the edge of the drop to scout it. He found a very small eddy formed by a small brace in the dam with killer recirculaters on either side. He went over the edge at an angle and boofed into the only 5 ft of safe water. Later had the honor of getting him into his first day in a regular school, had been hime schooled as his family paddled all over world.
He's as crazy as the ones that went over Niagara Falls in a barrel. At least he could have some control and see his plunge.
This guy is nuts! The biggest waterfall I ever went over was in my sisters pool!😂
Yes. Message say app no longer supported. Close “X” no work. Can see in background the word kayak. Only button that works is ‘get app,’ and it offers a short free trial. So much for NYT, I get all the news I need from our local daily newspaper

Might be a browser or virus/malware software conflict? The link works fine for most.

In any event truly a "death wish".

it worked fine for me but I wonder exactly when he questioned the wisdom of doing this in the first place? somewhere before 1/2 way down I bet?

Apparently, according to one of the replies, he's a very experienced Kayaker who has done this most of his life. I suppose it's not too risky for "him". Makes me shudder in amazement.

Maybe he should try Niagara Falls.
