Finally, a pretty decent day in Seattle. I spent the afternoon looking for birds at the Montlake Fill near the University of Washington. Many other people felt the need to get out as well. There were more people than birds but I did manage a couple decent shots, the best of which of a male Norther Shoveler I have posted here. The evening weather was predicted to be calm so I packed up my gear and headed down to Gas Works Park on Lake Union. The weather report was accurate. The second image is one shot from yesterday evening. Shot specifics are in each caption.

Jaw-dropping impact for me. Gorgeous shots!
Thank you Linda. I really appreciate the positive feedback.
Especially loved the second one but just wondered whether the reflection in the lake could be reduced, say by a third or a half. Just a thought.
Thanks Paul and I'm sure that would be possible. I'll give it some thought.
Both great shots. The Seattle view is one that we don't often see. The reflections are a little bright for me also but that is me. JerryJ Olympia

Wow! Both are great photos!
Wonderful photos and excellent work on your end.
Thank you all for taking a look and leaving me your thoughts.
Outstanding. Two really nice images.
Excellent shots. I don’t think I’ve see an in flight Shoveler shot. What beautiful colors he has. The cityscape is great!

Thanks. I too was surprised by the shoveler's fine colors.
A fantastic Shoveler image!
