An excellent set. The builders of the these models have spent many hours in building them. Congratulations to them for entering and having a fun filled weekend. Mahalo for sharing.
Spectacular Photos of Spectacular Models! The guys that build models to this level of detail aren't many, and to think that they "risk it all" by actually flying them is??? Well, that's what stopped this ol' boy from participating in the hobby... I highly respect their modeling skills, but model trains are much less likely to be destroyed during operating sessions!
Thanks for the great pics!
I thought it was old rinebeck at first 👍👍👍👍 this is a normal day at Hemet model masters
Great set. Got to love WWI planes, and especially RC.
Wow!!! Great planes, great shots!!
Wow! What great detail and you did an excellent job of photographing them. Beautifully done by all.

This event is always the last weekend in January. If you're in to this kind of stuff, I highly recommend you go to the Top Gun event April 29-May 3. It is one of the largest scale competitions in the world and it is held at the Lakeland airport. You can see photos from that event on my Flickr page as well.
Thank you so much Dave and I will put these dates & locations into my schedule and maybe we'll meet someday........thanks again sir.
Jimbo
Intriguing series David...
As I'm certain you are aware these unmanned aircraft have to be registered to fly legally within the US.
The registration number must be placed on the unmanned aircraft...
Specifics can be found here.
https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/register_drone/
Correct...to have a"registration number" a modeler must belong to the American Modeler's Association.(AMA) The number is your membership number. It is easy to get...not like many of the Governmental boondoggles we are subject to. But..I didn't notice the number on any of the planes.
Yes, you are both correct. You now have an AMA number and FAA number. The number does not have to be displayed at any certain size. It can be anywhere that's visible and legible. Some of the guys are putting it under the horizontal stabilizer and other places where you have to actually look for it, but it's there somewhere.
