I am having trouble with DeNoise 2.0 as it will not read my CR2 files. I cannot use it with LightRoom or Photoshop even though it is in the "edit with" list. When clicked it creates another file in LightRoom but does not DeNoise. Topaz suggested opening the software and running it in the background. Doesn't work!
Anyone one else having issues?

According to their FAQ -
https://help.topazlabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026224352-DeNoise-AI-Frequently-Asked-Questions, Denoise AI can read TIFF, JPG, and PNG files. It can also be used as a plugin with Lightroom and with Photoshop. In those cases, the host program would generate a file, such as a TIFF, then launch DeNoise, and finally return to the host. Have you tried that?
I have used DeNoise 2.0 on Canon CR2 and CR3 files. I would uninstall and reinstall DeNoise. Have you restarted your computer and both programs(Lightroom and DENoise) since installing the new 2.0 Denoise? Windows or Mac? Cloud LR or desktop? Updated LR or an old version? When you go to Edit In in LR, is there one or two DENoise's shown in plug-ins? For some reason after installing new DeNoise 2.0, I have two, and the first does as you describe and the 2nd work as it should.
No issues with Nikon and Olympus files.
Just bought DeNoise 2.0 last week. If I open the program stand-alone, it has no problem handling my RAW (.NEF) images.
If I open it from within LightRoom, LightRoom asks if I want to make a copy with current adjustments (yes, I do) and generates a .TIF file that it opens in DeNoise. When I come back into LightRoom, my original .NEF file is there, with another file of the same name except '-Edit' is tacked onto the end of the file name, and it is in .TIF format.
Clearly the days of free upgrades are a thing of the past

I just tested Denoise 2.0 with a CR2 file in LR. It works just fine. I also have Denoise 6 installed and it works just fine also. It doesn't interfere with the newer denoise 2
I will reiterate DaveJ suggestion, delete and reinstall the app. When reinstalling, make sure you have remove remnants of any previous version for a clean reinstall.

I got a free upgrade from my DeNoise.
Thx for info. Will have to check that out
Thanks everyone for your input. I have been communicating with Topaz and they we quite helpful. They wanted the specs on my new system and that was not the problem. They did fess up to a few "bugs" that they are working on and will have an update a but later. Meanwhile, they sent me the link to the previous version and I am now using that since it works seamlessly with my computer.
