MFT manual lens vs Nikon Lens on an adapter

I have been practicing shooting with some of my nikon lenses mounted on and Fotodiox adapter I purchased with my Lumix G7. I'm getting pretty good results with a Tamron 17-50, 2.8.
In very general terms, are purpose-built manual lenses such as the 7 Artisans series superior to adapted lenses? I'm not asking about comparing lens specs, I'm wondering if these lenses report anything to the body that improves any aspect of making a manual shot.

I think most or all 7 Artisan lenses are fully manual while, e.g., Zeiss lenses on Canon are manual focus but the aperture is controlled electronically. In general, I would think that IQ depends on the quality of the optics when it comes to manual lenses.
