Not sure I understand your question. Could you be more specific?

A quick Google search came up with:

https://www.amazon.com/SOLOMARK-15-45x60-Waterproof-Spotting-Digiscoping/dp/B0711SCG9Q

I think this is the idea.

That's almost comical, but if it works, it's a good idea.

Jerry will agree that Binoculars are useless to a one-eyed man!

No really, my uncle was wounded in WWII and uses just one side of a binocular because his left eye is gone.

I took a short walk with only my 10×70 binoculars and a large steady tripod. I then tried holding the cellphone over the eyepiece and was very surprised how clean and sharp the image came out. If you used one of the mounts you're talking about, it should work very well. Sometimes you want to view something with both eyes (binos) but dont want to also take your camera with a long lens. This way you can get reasonable telephoto shots with a cellphone.
On the downside if you want to capture that elk running across the valley, good luck.

I have seen them advertised several times and consider them something a hunter may really use but if you want to photograph something I still would rather use a telephoto lens on a real camera. However, to each their own!

When one has two good eyes, I can see that opinion. Then a telescope is redundant if you have two eyes?
Myopic viewpoint.

Yes they work. I demonstrate one in my photo class. They work well with spotting scopes too.

Awesome, I cut gemstones and have used all kind of makeshift ways to photography them through my microscope before I purchased my D7200 and a closet full of lenses. Lol Sometimes it's just fun to play with things to see what happens. Sometimes you get lucky and things go better than expected.
