I'm not sure of what your point is. I personally could give a rats behind about what others think of what camera I'm using. In fact, several of my cameras have the make and model covered with black vinyl tape so people don't know what I'm shooting with. Besides, mirrorless cameras, as in cameras without mirrors, not digital MILC'S, have been around longer than DSLR'S.
I don't normally do latest and greatest, I do what works for me.
I'm not out to impress.

Roger that. In my opinion, the folks who are out to impress are usually only impressing themselves.
How are things in Audubon? I haven't been there much since I retired. I still occasionally take my puppies to the dog park. It's nicer, or should I say safer, than the ones closer to my home.

Geeze, haven't been to the dog park in a couple of years. Our dog is a rescue and kinda paranoid. Can't say.
Traffic at/on Trooper and Egypt is a total zoo. Completely nuts at rush hour.
(Actually, I'm in Jeffersonville, but go to Phoenixville a bit.)
Unbelievable how Egypt has been built up over the years!

We live in a townhouse so the front yard is fairly small; not big enough for the dogs to get any exercise. The girl dog loves to run and she is fast. We take them to Oaks so she can run and run until she's exhausted. A couple friends of mine use to live in Jeffersonville. One moved to Oaks and one to Collegeville. I was lucky when I worked in Oaks. When I took back roads I'd turn at the trail head and cross over the prekiomen back by BJ'S. I'm sure some of the heavy traffic has a lot to do with all the contract workers from India that now live in that area.

Why, because it doesn't fit your lifestyle?

Do you have any idea of what a conversation actually is. Do you have any idea of the actual purpose of social media. If you aren't interested in positive contribution to the conversation, please keep your fingers silent.

Thanks for the link.
I am teaching a class on basic photography at the local senior citizens center Photography Club and have been gathering things like this. I copied, edited and printed it. (with credit for the author) That makes 4 different simple rules of composition etc I have but each of them has some things the others don't. Yesterday was the introduction day - examples of photographs, help with new cameras etc. Then just talking about photography and answering questions. Their homework until next months meeting is to go over their camera manuals and learn the menus and controls a bit and the 2nd meeting is the picking of subjects, seeing the light and composition. With taking time to help with their cameras that should take about 2 meetngs. (The center gives us a two hour block on a large meeting room.) Third meeting will be the start of them bringing pictures for critique etc. And the 3rd I will introduce the exposure triangle. The 4th meeting we will move on to more advanced things. I am also going to talk to the center about meeting more frequently than once a month - I think every other week will be about right until the class is over. Then discuss it and either go back to once a month as a club or whatever the group wants.
I am also loaning books from my collection and my copies of "The Great Course" photography classes from Nat Geo on DVD.

Conversation between friends?
Expression of camaraderie?
Bringing out the best in instigators?
Showing people with no friends what it's like to have them?
