Sony a6300 picture adjustment after picture is taken

I’ve read whatever I could find to see if “after” I take a picture can I then change the format from “picture effect” off to watercolor or b & w. I know that I can set the picture effect before I shoot to get desired effect but don’t know if I can do it after.

I've never of that being possible, but then, I've never heard of lots of things. Some cameras allow a certain amount of in-camera processing.

The best way to change the appearance would be with a processing program.

You can do it after in a post processing software like Photoshop. Once you take the shot, in camera processing is limited.

No you can't, not in-camera that is, but you can certainly do it afterwards in pp!

I would never use an effect like that until PP. I know my G9 has "creative control modes" which I've never used, but it can be set to capture two images, one with the effect and one without.

You can use your Sony program, PlayMemories Home to process your photos.

Did you check to see what options your camera has for processing? I know that mine will allow me to process an image in-camera. Perhaps yours will allow that to some degree?
