So what is all that white stuff just covering everything? Never seen it before, where I live. Looks pretty, but also pretty cold. I'm allergic to cold, so I will stay where I am, thank you. Brrrr...

The white stuff is just a weird kind of rain. It was 20f when I was running the blower. Good temp for that duty. We are used to it but not that we don’t like your sunshine. We are only a day’s drive apart but in different worlds.

As a kid we used to drive over snoqualmie pass in March or April to go to Seattle, the roads were always 8 to 10+foot ditches that you seldom saw the surrounding areas close up. Years later I drove myself and saw the ski resort that we only could see from a distance. the building had 10 foot of cinderblock for the first floor with a steel door as its only entrance. the main level was the second floor which had wooden steps that started at 8 foot with just steel posts that supported the bottom of the steps. Snow does get a bit deep in the cascades.

Right you are. Just quit because I got tired after 2 days dealing with our road and mandoor and garage door issue. The furnace just let me take a break. I’ll likely use snowshoes to take care of it. Always keep one pair in the pickup and others in the garage. And yes we have several pair of skinny skis in the garage also. And yes, it’s a great area for backcountry skis.
