I have used KEH as my main buy and sell for used photo equipment for several years. Never received as much as I hoped for but when I purchased the equipment was always better than their rating, at least I thought so. Been a while but when I rejected their buy offer they always paid the return freight. Maybe that has changed. Great honest business to work with.

I have some Fuji gear that I want to sell. I posted it here on UHH and while there were many views there was no interest. I may have asked too much for it. I also got a quotes from Keh and MPB. My question is this: I found the quotes to be low based on my knowledge of the gear. If I were to send the gear to either Keh or MPB is there a possibility that they would increase their bid after reviewing the equipment?
Thanks
I was told by Adorama that their quote is roughly 70% of their listing price. I sold my older Canon gear to them 2 years ago and was paid based on a very good to excellent condition which I was happy about.
I sold three lenses to KEH over several months, and just sent a fourth. They raised the price on one, lowered the price on one, and left one the same. I could have sold these items for more, about the same amount KEH offered them for. For me, having KEH take care of it was worth it.

I sold a camera on Amazon within in two hours. I went to the camera's listing and priced it lower than underneath the lowest listed price. Their fee was worth their time and handling of details. It also sold considerably higher than using a middle man dealer.
Hi,
My experience with KEH was quite the opposite. I had a mint condition Nikon D90 to sell, complete with orignal box, manual, battery, and repacked as it came factory new. I had accepted their low quote pending their inspection. When I recieved the updated quote, post inspection, it was $15.00 LOWER. I asked them to reconsider and ultimately got received the orignal quote, but the experience left me with less than a favorable opinion of KEH.

I read, with interest, each day's Hog postings. I often find that my opinions have already been expressed, often several times, before I get to the point where I would consider responding. With that in mind, I have made few postings. Using a posting count to judge the validity of an equipment posting should perhaps be a yellow flag, not a red flag.
