I wanted to find out how many photos I have taken on my a99ii so I contacted Sony at 800-222-7669 (Sony). They told me that their is a free download that they will send me so that I can get the Shutter Actuation Count for my a99ii. Just follow the instructions on the download and you will find the Shutter count.

I'll pass it on to one friend who owns a Sony a6000. Thanks

I wrote to Sony and they told me there was no point in keeping track of shutter actuations in a mirrorless camera (which I have) so it was not available.

Does this mean that Sony Mirrorless Cameras, never have failing shutters?

It means that if you choose to bypass
the shutter then, clearly, it will never
wear out. This is only common sense
and so is in no way unique to Sony or
any brand in particular.

The OPs camera, a full frame Sony a99ii, is a Translucent Mirror camera in A-mount. It is not really considered a mirrorless camera. The Sony FF mirrorless cameras are FE mounts.
