Love the artistic bent to the statement. You might want to correct the "Rule of tirds," which is actually funny if read as "turds," if you use it again! Or maybe, in some cases, it is the "Rule of turds."

I specifically used the term division so as to not infer it as a "rule" . In my photo classes I also use the term division because as I explain it to my classes there are no hard rules in photography or art.
In life, there are two kinds of prople, people who need rules and find themessential for life, and those who don't have any and do quite well.
For me there are very few rules. It can all be condensed down to one or two, don't do anything stupid, and don't be an a=hole.
I couldn't find acoarst in the dictionary. But I love the symmetry you've created with words. Well done!

"Of course" should not be spelled "acoarst".
Well, acoarst !
But rules are for other people.
OTOH, as a rule, we ignore Grammar Nazi guidelines.

Thank you. I briefly did consider the "u"
but it was too blatant ... and possibly a
bridge too far from the original spelling.

Some peeps identify "non-Pro" cameras
by the presence of a pop-up flash, some
by the Ultra Auto Green mode, or by the
presence of Scene mode or Artsy Filters.
I guess I'm the only one that includes a
Rule of Tirds grid in the Display Options
as an indicator of its "non-Pro" ranking.
You could call that a Guideline but I call
it a Rule ;-)

There was a day when the younger me slavishly followed the rule of turds. In time I realized that my photos looked just like everyone else's. So I thres that rule into the dustbin of history. I have shot some of my best amd best liked photos in violation of every compositional rule.
when I got a Hasselblad xPan I again violated rules and produced some exceptional work, then I got a real Hasselblad, and took to shooting a square format to good results.
I think rules sentence us to a life of mediocrity.

Guidelines are suggestions that you should follow the rules. Rules do not allow you to follow suggestions. One of Yogi’s suggestions was “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” Wait, is that rule. Not sure, but it is likely moot, since you don’t have a choice. Well, maybe you could turn around.
Hope I have sufficiently confused the topic!

Ah, Gold Hat. Won a few rounds of trivia with that one. Won a few more with the follow-up of who played him. 😀
