I am surrounded by timber, every couple of years I have a friend come over with his 58' reach bucket truck and side trim or remove any tress that might strike the house, garage and barn. A small price to pay to sleep well when the wind is gusting 50 MPH + here in the mountains of VA

So, some difficulties go with the territory...........that said, he was aware of the condition of the tree but the cheapest quote he received for its removal was $5'000!! I had to pay $1'000 for the removal of a much smaller one......believe me, that cuts into the budget bigtime

Yeeeoooowww! Good thing it missed his head! High winds here last night, heard a "thewumpety-tump!" Have 3 cars in the driveway beneath a large maple, thought, "Uh oh!" Looked out in the morning and was relieved to find it was just our kayak being blown around the yard...
