Wow, what a statement! Might as well place manufacturers on notice on developing new technologies: we have reached the sky!

I was spoiled by having dual memory card slots. I will never go back to single slot cameras....which the Z models are. I am sticking with my D750 for now. To each his /her own, though.

What sort of Street Photos need more than 6.5 FPS, or 1/8,000 sec? I suspect a bit of pimping going on. Do you own a camera shop which got stuck having to stock some Z beasties?

Mirrorless has some benefits, but none which-for me-justify the expense at this time. When my DSLR goes belly up, I will consider a MILC then...but only if it has two card slots.

So...every thing you have done in the past is garbage??

I don’t know if it’s a case of gas, seeing the writing on the wall, or both. I’m seriously looking into getting a Z6. I’ll keep my D750, at least for now, for sports shooting.

I want to know if anyone has gone from a D750 to a Z6, and if so what your thoughts are on the switch. I have the $, so that is not a factor. I will be selling my D7200 equipment, though, as it will only collect dust with the addition of the Z6.

Thanks for your comments,
Dana

You will probably use the Z6 for sports shooting as well. The 750 while somewhat adequate for sports in my opinion the Z6 will out preform it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgiOuFac9RQ some of the features in the 1rst presentation. I think it would be a great upgrade, even better if you switch to the z/s lens line.

If you do , enjoy your new camera.

You will not notice any improvement on image quality. However, one of the neatest things about mirrorless is the ability to see the actual exposure in the viewfinder BEFORE you press the shutter button. Another big advantage is that there is no more reason for lens fine tuning.
The touch screen on the Nikon mirrorless is light years ahead of Sony, and so is Nikon's Expeed 6 processor, much better than anything Sony has.
Nikon will have close to 20 new lenses by next year for their mirrorless. Reminds me of an old proverb, "once was last is now first". Watch out Sony, there is a new mirrorless sheriff in town.

I have a Nikon Df, D7100 and a Z6. The Z6 is a joy and I have never regretted that purchase. It produces amazing images and the stabilization system is a pure blessing for an old man. No regrets, only smiles!

Why keeping the D750 for sports and not the Z6?
