So, I suppose it’s ok to post snaps here, and my only camera today was my iPhone 8 Plus. The weather’s been pretty chilly, so this is what it looks at -15 degrees out. Those are the Chugach Mountains in the background. The original image was much different, and the mountains were pretty small. So I heavily cropped the image. While eliminating a lot of more distracting detail, I brought the mountains it closer. Anyway, this is cold. By the way, I shouldn’t have been taking this while driving.

Snap shots are photos too. It can't be that bad, you can see the road.

Naw, they’re actually pretty good. Last week it was a bit different, though. I was going very slow there, having just stopped.

Yeah, you guys have been pretty well in the deep freeze up there. Haven’t been to Fox in a long time. Fairbanks is on our list for this coming summer. Maybe run up to Circle and show my wife a few places I’ve been years ago. I got my start in photography in the summer of 1967 while working for the Fish and Game Dept. up at Eagle Summer on a ptarmigan project. I doubt I could run up and down those mountains now.

I was shooting with my Nikon FE while driving in NYC in the '70s, long before there were cell phone distraction problems. On nearly empty Alaska roads at slow speed, while shooting with a phone, it is far safer than texting while driving at speed on busy highways in the lower 48. Great shot! Puts us in the driver's seat, quite literally, so we could kind of experience what you were, thanks for posting!
