been using house vacuum cleaner for years [the end of the hose ], dust go away , zero problem .a lot safer then other methods , and free .dont understand why people are not willing to give it a try .it does remove 100% of dust spots on pics , and also vacuum the inside of camera and the rear of lenses cavity .any volounters out there ??
The end of my vacuum cleaner hose is metal. I don't want to put any metal into my camera near the sensor so I would not agree that it is "a lot safer than other methods". Not only that, but my house vacuum cleaner encounters a LOT of stuff I don't want to introduce into my camera and it all goes through that end of the hose. What kind of vacuum cleaner are you using? How do you ensure that the end of the hose is clean?
Personally, I use a 3-3 system. (1) Rocket blower, tried 3 times. (2) Arctic butterfly, tried 3 times. (3) Wet swabs, 3 times is usually enough. Of course I interrupt the process when the dust doesn't show up any more.
