I was scheduled to receive a package from UPS yesterday, and I got an email from them in the morning letting me follow the progress of the truck. I watched it leave town and get onto the highway. I saw it moving along, and then stopping at the diner down the road for lunch. Then it continued on the highway and drove right past my street. Later in the day, and then again in the evening, I received emails telling me the package might be delayed, but I'd receive it within two days. At 9:05 PM, I heard the truck arrive, and the package was delivered.

This weirdness began before Christmas, and I assumed that it was because of the busy delivery season. I hope they get their act together and start normal deliveries again. I have more coming today, but I guess it will arrive tonight.
I was scheduled to receive a package from UPS yest... (show quote)

Start worrying when you get the notice it has been delivered and you don't have it. Been there done that a couple of times.

UPS must of calculated the risk of turning left in front of oncoming traffic, at a busy intersection verses making right turns to go around the block to get to the intended address. Left turns could add time to route, if it took a while to get across busy traffic safely, while making right turns keeps the truck moving for time but adds miles to the trip.

I follow a guy who explores old mines. He also has a right hand turn rule to help in not getting lost or missing something. Maybe him and UPS should get together to find out why it doesn't work for UPS.

I get a lot of packages dropped off at my front door. The only thing is they are not for me. They belong two house's up the road from me. So I just walk them up to their rightful owner. Im thinking about getting a brown uniform.

Interesting fact about collisions and left-hand turns....
I totaled my car on January 4th making a left hand turn into a 2 lane street and collided with a pick-up I didn't see coming, due to the traffic in the first lane!!! Fortunately, nobody died,,,I'm only battered and bruised from the seat belt and airbag implosion...
From now on I will make left hand turns around the block to drive home.
