I was a writing teacher for forty years, so you can guess my thoughts. And, yes, sneaked is a correct word--they can have a pass on that one.

Glad you vented and hopefully feel better. Now you can go back to sleep! Not everyone is an English major but if you can figure out what they are trying to say then the message was communicated. Time to move on!
I don’t know who first said it or wrote it but people should “write (or speak) not so much to be understood but so as to not be misunderstood.”
As example: a young man in the military received a letter from his mother. He read through it and cried mournfully. He then re-read it and laughed uproariously. His friend asked why he cried after reading then laughed after re- reading it. The young man replied that his mother wrote about his favorite uncle and if she spelled one word with an “o” he shot himself but if she used an “i” he didn’t.
Sneaked IS a word. Don't you have a dictionary??

Ever notice when you read the read the news how many spelling and use of sentence structure errors are in the title scripts and the follow up dialog? Is there such a word as sneaked?, can you feel more better after sergery? Did the snake really bet him in the leg? Just needed to vent my runt for the day

Do they even teach grammar & spelling in school any more?
Actually, I think they spend more time teaching students how to put condoms on cucumbers. It seems less time is spent on reading, writing and 'rithmatic, than when most of us were in school. Cursive is an all but forgotten form of communication. Industrial arts, sewing and cooking are gone in most schools, so there are less students going on to trade schools as students have no idea whether they would like woodworking, sheetmetal, drafting, etc., or whether cooking would be something they'd like to pursue as a career chef. Try to get a plumber, carpenter or electrician these days and see how long you have to wait.
Too bad we are all not perfect, but Bob you had better be a little more careful with your typos--- mistakes such as that could be dangerous!
Same as driving school, they ONLY teach to pass the test and nothing else.

I think this is funny and it's a reason I never got into going hunting. I lived in NJ and bought a black powder rifle. I was thinking about going deer hunting with a friend and had to take a safety course. There were like 60 people in the class. It went on for a few weeks and on the night of the test they went over some sample questions (ALL OF WHICH WERE ON THE TEST AND COMPRISED THE WHOLE TEST). Only 12 people passed and only 3 had perfect papers!!!!!!! Talk about stupid...... Keep me out of the woods. LOL
It ain't "snuck" it's "sucked" Past tense we all know that

That has been mentioned about a half dozen times already. Try to keep up.
How about then and than? Almost never used correctly.
In my opinions the school curriculum is wrong, 1 to 3 grade should be centered on basic skill reading, writing mathematics with a secondary language as diversion, in 4 th grade you start adding geography and more advance math, but always with emphasis on writing and reading as passing grade
It is not only in their writing but also in how they speak. Just listen to your friends, neighbors, kids or strangers and see how often you are interpreting what they say and mean. Sometimes it gets hilarious.
Even books that are published now can have a lot of mistakes do to faulty proof reading. I see that all the time since I am an avid reader. I am beginning to think that the publishers don't use proof readers but go straight to publishing and hope no one catches the mistakes
Watts ronge wit pore smelling?
Incidentally, you don't need the comma after the question mark and you do need a capital "C" for 'can' in your post... "sneaked?, can"
