I like how the sky is gently brighter behind the tree in the black and white image.

B&W - much more emotional

I’m partial to Monochrome (B&W). The reason what there is depth, contrast and tells a story.
IMHO, the colored version of this photograph seems a little distracting.
Happy Shooting!

Both very acceptable, depending on your own personal taste is what will determine what every individual might choose.
I have never shot in B&W, but I must explore this venue soon to see what I might be able to create.

Clearly B&W. There is hardly any color at all in the other one.
The black and white is better to me for this one.
Color, always and forever.

Because of the absence of color the b&w image works better.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Some images just demand B/W.
Caney for me the B/W is the best for this capture. Bob
Jim .., the B&W has more luminance and directs me to the main character and intent of the photograph ... great ... it conveys the chill in the scene ..., love it ..
I am usually not a B&W fan, but that shot is the keeper, Jim.

B&W is my preference all the way! The colors in the color one don't add anything extra, and the I like the way the B&W one is framed, too with the bushes forming those triangles on the bottom of the frame. But I like the color one too! :)
