My till now reliable expensive 32GB Sony XQD Card all of a sudden won't stay in its XQD card reader to show up when I insert it. It bounces back out. That means I can't get my images off it. I have a Lexar 32GB XQD card that still goes in the card reader and works in there fine. So it's not the card reader. It must be the card.
This is a huge problem because there is no way to recover my photos on that card if it can't be inserted into a card reader. Big, big problem. My photos on there are lost at this point.
With Nikon cameras you can transfer directly from camera. Perhaps two ways: cable or wifi.
Assuming, of course, it will go back into camera.
Bounces out, can you tape or rubber band it in???

Does it work in the camera?
If so can you connect the camera to the computer and download through the cam?
I believe most cameras have this feature.
If the card will stay in the camera, use the transfer cable to retrieve the photo's.
Format the card and send to SONY for replacement.

Thanks. I can see them in the camera and probably get to them with a cable. I guess I panicked.

Tape or rubber bands won't solve it because it refuses to show up if I hold it in or wiggle it.
Get a refund...if u can😕

Good idea after I get my photos off it.
Comparing the good and the bad can you detect any physical difference that could indicate damage?

Before messing with it any further do the transfer.
Then play with solutions.
