Sign said, "Closed temporarily". My thoughts are, where does all this come from?, it's never ending when there are high winds across Lake Erie. This is just one small area where all this was hurled over the breakwater wall.
Just think of all the abuse a boat gets when it hits that debris.
Yes, the wind does tend to accumulate stuff - in water and out.
Maybe that's why they call it driftwood.
Where does it come from? The woods and forests along the shores of the lakes and the rivers and streams that feed them. The natural process of trees dying and falling into or being with washed into the waters.

Don't blame the Canadians! They are a nice batch of friends. And I can get some nice bourbon and a cigar in Montreal. Even though it's expensive, it's a good smoke.

It will be a factor. As the global temperatures rise, the atmosphere and environments in many temperate climate areas will become hostile to the native species, resulting in more die-off and more litter in our waterways.
