For Digital: most used was AF-S NIKKOR 18-140 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR. But my favorites were NIKKOR AF-P DX 10-20 f/4.5-5.6G VR and AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8 G. Camera is D7100.

My most used lens this year is the Olympus M. Zuiko 12-100 F4.0. Great all around travel lens.

In order - 70-200/2.8, 300/2.8, 24-70/2.8, 16-35/4 and iPhone.

I'm shocked I didn't have any keepers with my 50 or 85. 70-200 doesn't surprise me at all. 300 on my crop body was one of my favorites to use. I really didn't think I used my 24-70 that much, so surprised that it was higher than the 16-35 that I really enjoy.

First Nikon DX18-70, by far, but that includes a lot of documentary work shots. Second Sigma 20-20mm. Tied for third, Nikon 50 / 1.8 and Nikon 70-300.

That reflects my own personal style more than anything else.

Great question... made me look.

That's actually Sigma 10-20mm zoom.

I'm curious as to what film shooters use most frequently? It's harder to keep track if you don't keep a notebook as your software doesn't have EXIF data for your film scans. I took more shots last year with my 80mm Planar on my Hasselblad than any other. I think the 50mm Distagon was second. I also shot a few rolls of 35mm on my new (to me) Leica iii, and the 50 mm was the most common lens. Russian 36mm Jupiter was second most. On my Rollei and Pentax SLRs I shot fewer rolls, but the 50mm Planar, 35mm Distagon, and 28mm Super Takumar were clearly the most used. I just bought a new 50mm f1.4 Super Takumar, and I expect I'll be getting a lot of shots with it in 2020. My Rolleiflex and Super Ikonta are of course, fixed lens, and I generally use the Retina IIIc with the normal lens.

What do other film users favor?

I use my Nikon 200-500 and Tamron 18-300 about equal.

Although most of my film has been with my trusty Nikon FE, ergonomic and “cute” Bronica ETRSi and the Beast ( Pentax 6x7) I recently acquired a Nikon F6 (used but mint — rated 9/10 by B&H) and it records basic exif data on the film. But I haven’t paid much attention to that. It is there though for the F6. With the F6 I like the 50mm f/1.8 and the same 85mm f/1.8 I use with the D7100. For those not familiar with the F6 it has very much the look and feel of a heavy digital SLR. For my Pentax 6x7 I have a bunch of lenses from 50mm wide angle to 300 mm telephoto. I like the 50 best but I don’t know what I use most. Bronica I use the 75mm most (645 equivalent of a nifty 50).

Someone asked this end-of-year question last year. I guess I get to ask for 2019. Filtering by 2019 as the shooting date, I get "20 lenses" in my LR catalog spread over 1587 images and three cameras, but that count is skewed by the use of extenders. The EF 300 f/2.8L IS II comes in as my #1 when the two extended configurations are merged along with the lens alone, totaling 408. That's 'keepers' in the catalog. The usage number is probably 3x to 4x that number in bursts at airshows.

I was surprised to see the EF 16-35 f/4L IS was the second most used in file count at 256.

I looked at the filters several times as just 1587 images for the calendar year seems surprisingly low. I know I shot less, but that's less than half the 2018 count for the same LR filters that returns 3675.

If you filter and count your images, what surprises did you find? Do you use your own usage data to plan to sell unused lenses / cameras? Or maybe, to change the lenses you'll use more in 2020?

The Canon EF 24-105 mm F4 L IS was my most used lens followed by roughly equal use for my EF 17-40 mm F4 L and my EF 70-200 mm F2.8 L II IS and my 100 F2.8 L Macro is my least used. Probably total use of all lenses was between 2000 and 3000 images in 2019. I am on my iPad so the exposure count is strictly an estimate.

16-70 f4 for my Sony a6000. About 80% when traveling. For rest, use 35 f1.8 for low light and 55-210 for distance.

tim this is a great gear setup. Sometimes I carry the Sony a6300 and the 16-70 F4
I also have the a6000. For a while working with a big chamber in Florida they would ask
me to guest photo the event. I used a very journalistic loose style. Surprisingly the
6300 with the 16-70 could handle group shots well. Or a trade fair. Or a bunch of
school kids on school celebration day. A close friend of my wifes ask me to take
a few photos at her family pool party. I used this rig with a small sony flash on top
and pointed at people with the flash giving a very arty look. It came out so
well I surprise myself. In today's world we need a 16mm or something even
wider Sony's 10-20 with the cropped cameras. I must say Zeiss lens generally
are my favorites in the affordable category.

On my Sony A77 & A77II (crop Frame) bodies my most used lens was definitely the Sigma 17-70 (90%±). The remaining photos were pretty evenly split between my Sony 70-400 G., Sigma 30 f/1.4, and my Tokina 11-16. In 2020 I hope to use the Sony 100-400 a lot more as my back slowly heals and I get outside more.
