While visiting Custer last summer I noticed the buffalo statues around town, my husband drove me around on our RZR so I could photograph them. Hope you enjoy them!
You took a big chance getting so close. They were surely aggravated at being painted!

I love that buffalo collection!
I have a couple from West Yellowstone area.
In New Mexico you can find steers and cows, and in Dallas there are quite a few ( not so colorful ) scattered around the downtown area.
One big herd at the Dallas Convention Center and many singles elsewhere.
