For those of you who purchased the New in the Box, Canon 5D Mark 4, for the holiday price of $2000. Be advised the Sale price is over, and the price is now $2500.

Yep. I'm glad I jumped when I did. Considering my price was $1999 and if you consider the $249 Canon battery grip was thrown in, along with a 64GB SD card, it was like getting the 5D4 body for less than $1750. I'm happy.

Not really a treat, but a new tool. The Sony a6600, came at $200.00 off and a $160.00 camera bag and Sony memory card. Took it out yesterday hours after I got it, attached it to the Sony 200-600, went out from under a shelter after a big rain storm and found this Coopers Hawk that was soaked and got this shot. New tools are cool.

This picture is wonderful, great purchase!

Small Travel pocket camera a Sony RX100 mark7,

You will have to let me know if this camera is as good in use as it is on paper, I have had my eye on it, but I am having trouble justifying the cost in comparison to the Panasonic Lumix ZS200. Merry Christmas to you

I have a friend who owns a D7100, predecessor to the D7200. And he loves it. And so will you, love your D7200.

Thank you very much, mas24. I am learning the locations of the dials and buttons now. The additional features will come with practice.

Well Christmas is over. My credit card is finished with Xmas gifts this year. I set a Xmas limit of $2700, and was able to treat myself out of that limit, to a new Nikon AF-P DX 10-20mm wide angle zoom lens. Price $277. I needed a wider zoom lens than my kit lens, an 18-55mm. I gave bottles of red and white wines to some of my friends, along with giving a half dozen SanDisk 64gb Ultra SD cards to them. Non photography gifts to close relatives were the bigger part of my budget. There are/were some good camera deals this year. The best one I saw, was the Canon 5D Mark 4 camera, selling Brand New for $2000, and the Nikon SB-700 flash unit selling for $296. Nikon and Canon had their customary entry-level, 2 lens kits. Nikon had D3500/D5600 two lens bundle kits. Sold mostly everywhere. What photography equipment did you treat yourself to this Xmas? I call it. From Me To Me Xmas Gifts.

Got a 60mm Nikon MICRO lens for my Nikon D850 to do film to digital and I found a Nikon F5 at KEH in excellent condition for $389. I couldn't be happier. KEH is great!

KEH is great for ordering used lenses too. Two of my friends bought KEH used lenses, after I told them about their website. They were highly satisfied with thei condition they were in.

Two things, a subscription to Lightroom and and new laptop for processing. After much research and patience waiting for a sale, I bought a HP Spectre x360, I7, 16g, 512 mem, 4k screen on Cyber Monday for $1,049 not including the warranty. I did a family photo shoot in RAW for the first time and I have been hibernating/playing ever since. Best Christmas gift ever!

I've been fortunate to be able to get myself to a pretty decent spot equipment wise over the past couple of years, so I really didn't have any significant needs or wants during this season. I did use a small monetary gift to buy a new Nikon EN-EL15b battery. It allowed me to retire my last 3rd party battery and have genuine batteries in all four cameras and grips. I'll hang onto the ProMaster battery as an emergency spare, but now all batteries in daily use can be counted on to charge fully and reset their exposure counters. The new battery was $59.95 at my local camera store, the same price as most non-Nikon batteries in my market area.

Actually, I use Nikon and Watson batteries. My backups are Watson. The EN EL 15b has superseded the 15a. The 15b can be used in Nikon DSLRs and the New mirrorless full frame cameras, that can be charged inside the camera, with a USB cable. I agree new Nikon Brand batteries are expensive.
