Samsung Cellphone a20 problems

Purchased a new Samsung a20 Cellphone. While using it I have noticed that when I am texting or send an email the keyboard had a tendency to skip and to jump all over the keyboard as you are typing a work. Have sent this in for warranty work and was given a new phone from the carrier and still having the same problem.
Have contacted Samsung and they want me to send the phone back to them for service. It is not a hardware issue, it is a software issue dealing with the keyboard. Regardless what keyboard feature you have installed on the phone you still have this same problem.
l am asking all the Hegdehog members who own a Samsung a20 phone if they have ever experienced this same problem and how they corrected it.
Please let me know. You slide your finger across the keyboard and there is five to seven different letters appearing that you did not type on the screen. Some could be a period or even a capital letter.
Please l need your help!

Google "Samsung a20 keyboard problem" there are several responses that instruct you how to reset the keyboard. Worth a look. Good luck.

I have an S-III.

There is a name for swipe typing. It is a normal keyboard function and I hate it!!!!!

I tap and remove my fingers from the keyboard before going to TAP the next character.
If you keep your finger on the screen when going between characters, it swipe types.
You get a green "follow line", correct?

The keyboard is VERY sensitive to the SLIGHTEST touch.

I have a Samsung S7 and I just gave up and dictate what I want to say, then go back and make a few corrections. That works for me and it is faster for me.
I'm sorry, this didn't really answer your question, however, this is my work-around.

It's the swipe feature. Google that and see if you can turn it off. I like it and use it one handed quite often.

I have a Samsung A20 and don't have trouble texting with it. I figure when I get the broken words I didn't type, it's because I grazed over letters and it detected it and tried to create words. I just mainly do one letter at a time which works better than, or use the auto created words just above the keyboard if the right word is there. The bigger problem I have with my phone is that when on a call, the person I am talking to thinks I hung up. I can hear them, but they can't hear me. Then, I have to hang up and call them, or wait for them to recall me. I think other people have heard of that and have that same problem. Has anyone else had that issue, along with the keyboard? Thanks for any replies.

When you go into email or text message, the keyboard should show a series of icons above the number line. One of those icons looks like a gear. The gear is the link to the keyboard settings. Tap the gear, tap Smart Typing, Tap Keyboard swipe controls, tap No Swipe gestures. This will fix your problem. The swipe feature was implemented to make typing faster by swiping across the keyboard from one letter to another in the same word, and the word magically appears in the message. Random swipes, such as you are experiencing are a pain. Hope this helps you and the others who are having issues with the keyboard swipe. Have a great day.
