I’m in the L.A. (cal) area today. Specifically in the Hollywood area. I’m visiting from Michigan and would really like to get to a great camera shop while here, maybe buy a lens or something. Going home tomorrow so I need your advice. Very soon. Thanks. It’s 8am here in cal.....RJM

I called “freestyle photo”. And they said that “they sell supplys, but do not sell cmeras(digital, anyway). They said that SAMYS is the only real camera shop in the area. TRUE??

So you want to buy a “lens or something” and you are motivated primarily by convenience, uncertainty about what you want, a deadline to find “it”, and no knowledge of where “it” exists. Sounds to me like an equation for disaster.

‘IM in the L.A. area for one more day. There is a particular lens I would like to buy, And I’m always potentially “in the market” for more gear. I thought I’d like to check-out an actual camera store, as a way to spend my last day here, since there is nearly nothing “Bricks&Boards” back home. Most everything I’ve acquired Photographically, I’ve gotten from B&H or Adorama. I’d like to see a Legitimate camera shop, & if they have the lens I want for my X-mount cameras, at a fair price, it would be nice to hold it in my hands, put it on the X-T2 or X-T20 ......Maybe some Pentax stuff, too. Not an “equation for disaster”, BUT thank you (VERY LITTLE) for your EVALUATION of my situation....REALLY!!!!............RJM
