Welcome to the forum. I have to echo what has been said. Read the manual first. If the print is too small go on line and download a copy to your computer.

Over whelmed? Guessing the settings/menues. Ease into it a little at a time, read the manual on the settings you might want to try. If you run into problems with camera settings , do a factory reset. As far as taking pics, Grab Bryan Petersen's Understanding Exposure book. It will point you in the rite direction. Don't be afraid of expierimenting. That's how we learn what we like & sometimes what doesn't work. That's a great camera you have.
