Gee Jimmie..you make it hard on all of us, because it IS an excellent photo! Subject is perfectly placed, background is properly out of focus...I don't know what else I could add! The first thing that came to my mind was "This could be a professional advertisement!"...

A well taken image in all respects; however, the power/pathos of this image is in the boy's expression. You can see his "wheels" turning. . .the wonderment. This images speaks to the viewer through the expression on the face of the young boy. When this happens, you have what I like to call a "Zinger". The proper title can make this image a real contest winner.

I find this image "Most Favorable" (not using the "like" word).
I guess this a "corn husk braiding" thing and it is the center point of interest.
Lots of leading lines:
The hands
The out of focus boys face
Lines of braiding laying on the table
Lines of the basket
Framed by the edge of the table
You have a hot spot of green grass that is toned down by the shadowed fence.
You're gonna get busted for the blown out hand........
Where is the "Like" button?

An INteresting shot! His attention is locked in on the hand at work with a quizical look on his face. Well exposed and good composition. Might have been cropped a tad tighter for more emphasis on his expression and the hand. Just a thought. :thumbup: :thumbup:
I didn't see the note that you planned to enter into a competition before. One further suggestion beyond the slightly blown hand is to brighten his face a bit and maybe burn in some of the lower left corner. Again, my persona opinion...for judging. :roll: :lol:
