Great start, my friend! Not sure if I'll get
a chance to add any, but will try to keep up...

I'm going to jump in here early, because I'm way behind on my traditions. In our household, we always tried to make some homemade Christmas crafts, and especially holiday baking and cooking. And Tamales are always a Gonzalez family tradition, and ALOT of work!

Like Roxie, we have traditional Swedish traditions....Lots of homemade cookies, a smorgasbord on my birthday weekend that entire family attends....It was here at our home on Sat. Choir at our church is always an important piece also. The kids will be here for a week starting on Christmas day...everyone from Ca. will fly in Christmas morning! Busy , fun time!

As this is the Santa Season, we see that red-coated gift giver everywhere. The photo above has ties with our family. The little ceramic Santa that used to wind up and play a Christmas tune is old, as it belonged to my husband's family when he was a little boy and it now has come down through the generations. The wooden, painted Santa was designed and painted by our daughter. Often as Christmas approached we would create some wooden shapes with our jigsaw and we would get out the paints and create a Christmas themed Santa or decorative person of sorts. Every Christmas since then, the wooden shapes have been placed around our home. I have included a few here. My favourite is one I made of Santa holding stockings with the names of our three children. Last Christmas, our daughter requested a hand held jigsaw as a gift and the jigsaw seasonal festive creations will continue as a tradition with her family!
