It’s that time of year when we put our seasonal decorations out side. , so we got out our three wooden Snowgeese in preparation to having them fly outdoors.

The story here is this fellow, a Gauthier, was raised way back in the country, maybe a hundred miles from where he is visiting now, St-Irenée, Charlevoix Co. He asked me if I knew where just maybe his family originated from after migrating to Québec. Naturally they started out in the city back in the 1600's but moved to this area. The only access was by the river. His gr-grandfather left here in a boat and went finally to the end of Lac-St-Jean where he logged and farmed

Here is another one, The Tremblay, Bouchard, Girard and Gagnon families arrived in Charlevoix Co. hundreds of years ago and are still there. Some who originated there, many ofr that manner moved to the Saguenay - Lac-St-Jean area, all done by boat. Today you meet up with them anywhere Florida, New England and other arts of Canada .. ''Your family are from Charlesvoix/Saguenay?'' . Yes we are
