A butterfly's favorite plant

This plant, in my youth, was loved only by butterflies and butterfly lovers. While in grade school we filled large gunny sacks with the seed pods for the war effort.(WWII that is.) In my old age I do find some beauty in them.

Beautiful, especially #2 and #3, where the contrasts make the milky color and silky texture stand out in contrast.
