Yesterday we focused on the outside (as opposed to museums) and drove around Oahu starting at Diamondhead and up the northern (windward) side to Pali Highway and then back toward Honolulu.
The attached photos are things that attracted my interest on the drive. The surfers go to the area just below Diamondhead because of consistent swells, although this week the North Shore is getting very large waves. The beach near Makapu'u Point is called "Eternity Beach" because it was the scene of the kiss between Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr (youngsters just consult Google about this). Pali Overlook is always good for shots and the Judd Trail is accessed from a residential street running alongside the Pali Highway.
