be kind on cc on the dogfight. It was taken very early in my journey out of Auto Mode and shot through 100 year old window glass. The others were my first attempts last summer with my new Tamron 90 Macro all hand held. I know I didn't nail the focus on the eyes and I'm not real sure of the colors as I'm viewing on my laptop and you know how screen tilt affects the view. CC though is welcome.

This was a weed that I allowed to grow along my driveway. The flower was less than 1/2 inch diameter. I didn't even notice the bug on when I took the first picture but when I viewed it later I had to go back and take 40 or 50 more featuring the bug

I think I got the focus on the bug's left leg or maybe the flower petal rather than the eye. Next time I think I'll use a different focus point in the camera

This was several months ago. The shiny material behind the flowers my be from a potted house plant. I have to learn to be more aware of the background. I only just noticed the apprent grid pattern on the petals, I have no idea what that is

Went back with a spray bottle. Maybe I should have recomposed so as to not have all that white on the right side

Thank you. As you know a capture like that is pure luck. If memory serves me I pre-focused between the feeder and a nearby tree to capture any BIF and shot bursts and got lucky.

Still looking for the mentioned "dog" in the shot. And what does the "clown", picture right, have to do with the missing "dog"?
One bird to the other, "Was that clown funny to you?"
Nothing like being in the right place at the right time. Great catch.

Thank you. Even my 9 year old granddaughter when she was looking at my flower photos told me that she liked the ones with water droplets the best
I forgot that these close-ups were my first endeavor with that lens and I was so infatuated with having a faster lens that I left wide open. I've since learned to stop it down when working that close. Thanks all for your comments and please feel free at any time to tell me what I'm doing wrong or right. I have a pretty thick skin when it comes to criticism that helps me on my journey to become better.

Dogfight is great capture Jimmy. Can’t worry about the technicalities in these situations. Thanks for posting.

Thank you Blair, you're too kind. When I look at so many other's post I realize how far I have to go but fortunately for me I view as the journey being most of the fun.
