There’s a powerful essay published today on the TomDispatch blog, as essay by Micheal Klare, that although fictional, being set in the 2030’s, is frightening.

For those that wish to read it, the link is: http://www.tomdispatch.com/post/176639/tomgram%3A_michael_klare%2C_acclimatizing_the_u.s._military/

It’s reminded me that as one of those Pacific NW residents living out in a rural setting I mustn’t let this Winter pass by without more tree thinning, as much as it breaks my heart to fell healthy trees.

I live in the DC suburbs. We’ve noticed a significant reduction in number and types of birds over the past few years. Two years since I’ve seen our local Bald Eagle, sadly.

Also, fewer flying insects (wherever we go up and down the east coast) - evidenced by the remarkably clean windshield year round! Recall, in years past, that a highway trip for vacation or to visit to relatives the next state over meant bug smears that made it hard to see out the windshield? We hardly see any of that anymore!

Scary!!

Birds are common in South Central Florida. Sandhill cranes, all kinds of egrets, ibises, hawks, eagles, and many, many small birds. They seem to have become more common here when Louisiana got so badly flooded. We also see parakeets on our telephone wires. Evidently pets escaped, found each other, and formed flocks.

Then you haven't lived there long enough.
Florida has been so reduced since my childhood ... it's not remotely funny.

I have been photographing birds and flying insects for the last ten years. Being very aware of their numbers, I am sorry to say the the decline of both has been alarming. This year, in particular, has been very bad. We had NO Robin migration, very few Warblers, woodpeckers are now rare, and birds of prey are seldom seen. I used to hear Owls, but not now. More trees are sick and dying than should be as well.

All of this is occurring as the geoengineering in the sky has accelerated: It is now a daily occurance in our area (Dallas-Ft. Worth). The major culprit is definitely Aluminum particles which is 30% of aerosols that are sprayed by aircraft flying at the top of the troposphere.

I invite all who read this to google "What in the World Are They Spraying". This 1:37:00 minute video does a good job explaining much more than the simple loss of birds.

I have noticed a decline in my area as well. Quite a few trees in our neighborhood have been cut down and probably accounts for some of the decline.

Maybe but seriously can we continue to leave jet exhaust in the atmosphere with no repercussions?

Jet exhaust may be a bit problematic but the real problem is the intentional spraying of coal ash mixed with water at the upper levels of the troposphere. This, for some diabolical reason, is being done over areas that are highly populated; like mine is.

I was involved in the Surveyor unmanned moon landing program, and the Apollo program working for NASA at the DSN at Goldstone and the MSC at Houston. I also worked for thirty years at the American Airlines Flight Academy as a flight simulation engineering expert. I say this so you might realize that I have the creds to back up my knowledge of Geoengineering of the atmosphere.

Impressive credentials! But what on earth is that spraying being done for? And is it still going on?

None of that demonstrates that you have any credibility at all on this subject.

Many of us here worked on some phase of the space program. When I did starting in the 1960s it was as a mechanical engineer. That does not qualify me either.

Your contention that there is "intentional spraying of coal ash mixed with water at the upper levels of the troposphere" is about one of the silliest claims anyone has ever made. Can you think of any possible motive for doing that?

Are you in terror of something lurking under you bed at night? Did Martians land and whisk you away for reprogramming? Do you need an exorcist?

This thread truly belongs in the Attic!

Total nonsense.
The real answer is climate change, this is provable, look at the data over the past 20 years.
If you insist on believing in conspiracy theories, have at it.
"The major culprit is definitely Aluminum particles which is 30% of aerosols that are sprayed by aircraft flying at the top of the troposphere."
Chemtrail idiocy.
And where is your analytical proof to back up your claim?

The "white lines in the sky that form into clouds" are contrails; they are formed by the condensation of water vapor that is produced when jet fuel is combusted. "Chemtrail" will get its own page when any evidence of such a phenomenon existing is presented. Until such time as that occurs, there are two phenomena worth discussing: the scientific phenomenon of condensation trails, and the conspiracy theory regarding chemical trails. Talk:Chemtrail conspiracy theory
Where exactly are all these commercial Airlines getting this "aluminum" and where on a passenger jet are they holding it?
Do you have even the slightest clue how to vaporize a metal (Aluminium/Symbol
Al)
Screw it I'm not wasting any more time trying to educate the ignorant.

The primary reason for the decline isn't global warming ... aircraft ...
The primary reason is much more basic ... loss of habitat.
With no end in sight.

The birds are conspiring to boycott photographers. So are the bugs. You may not see any flowers either next spring.

They are doing this to force you to find more unique subjects to photograph instead of the usual overdone things.

I wonder if the cavemen, back in the day, went running around bemoaning the fact that the dinosaurs were disappearing?
